By spreading my knowledge and wisdom gained through years of experimentation with my own life, I hope to help alleviate the suffering of people throughout the world. When we can recognize how the mind creates unhappiness and turmoil in one’s life, we can begin to alleviate the self-inflicted pain and stress so many of us deal with day to day.
I aim to take a holistic approach to personal development, because I have clearly seen the importance of balancing body, mind, and spirit in order to create dramatic and permanent changes in one’s life. Changing only one of these aspects may bring about minor changes, but it is often not enough to bring someone into a place of genuine fulfillment and happiness. This is why you will find resources on this website related to health, psychology, spirituality, and more. They are all equally important in my mind.
The power lies within the individual. It is my mission to help you draw that power from within. By improving ourselves, we improve everyone around us. One small change can create a chain-reaction that changes the entire world. Never underestimate your importance. You matter.
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME AND MY JOURNEY THUS FAR:
My name is Beau, and I’m just an ordinary man with big dreams. Perhaps I’m a little different than most, but I like it that way. I think the beauty of life lies in the uniqueness of every person and every thing.
A few years ago, I felt as if I was at an all time low in my life. I was just graduating high school and was about to head to college where I’d be in a completely different environment than I was used to. I grew up in a small town and was headed to a big city (Pittsburgh). At the time, I was a shy, insecure kid and had no clue what I wanted to do with my life. I went to college because my whole life I had been told that was the right path to take. I was soon consumed with massive amounts of homework on topics that didn’t interest me and was left with very little free time to enjoy myself. The result of this was me being severely depressed, overweight, and failing most of my classes. At the time, I thought things couldn’t get much worse. Then second semester came.
Needless to say, I hated most of my college experience. But after transferring for a semester and then finally dropping out, I realized that I had many areas of my life I needed to work on. I still had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. But this was the beginning of my transformation that continues to this day. At that point in my life, I realized that my attitude towards life was all wrong. I was a habitual negative thinker, which probably led to much of my insecurity. I started researching topics such as “how to be happy” and came across some things that changed my life forever.
The first thing I discovered was that my thoughts were creating my reality. My negative thinking was creating a reality that was also negative. I couldn’t enjoy life because I couldn’t even enjoy myself. I began to learn of stress and anxiety relieving techniques such as deep breathing and meditation. My mindset slowly shifted to being more optimistic about life as I learned ways to improve myself. From this point, I became addicted to the process of personal growth and transformation.
I came across more information that changed my life: the idea of nourishing your body with healthy foods so that you can nourish your mind and become happier at the same time. Slowly but surely, I began thinking more positive thoughts, eating more nutritious foods, exercising and connecting with my true nature through the spiritual practices of meditation and contemplation.
Today, I am a much more optimistic, confident, and happy person than I ever thought I could be. I am nowhere near where I want to be, but I look back and see how far I’ve come and this gives me even more confidence in myself. I see now that the period of my life that seemed so horrible to me at the time turned out to be one of my biggest blessings. Without struggle, there is no growth. I have struggled and continue to struggle, but I have grown and I continue to grow. I have turned my life around simply by incorporating certain strategies and techniques into my life. I believe all of us can benefit greatly from making a few small changes in our lifestyle.
With all I have learned and continue to learn, it is my intention to spread this knowledge so that all of you can begin to live better lives and start creating the reality that you want for yourself. You deserve the best! You can’t afford not to become the best version of yourself!
